Schedule of Activities

Tuesday August 16th WELCOME !!! :-)
Students arrive. Greet at airport and head home. Time to be determined

Wednesday August 17th:

  • Relax most of the day.
  • 2pm: optional walk on Martinique Beach
  • 5pm: meet and greet at Jackie's - BBQ with introductory activities.

Thursday August 18th:

  • 10 am: meet at Clam Harbour Beach for leadership activities and games
  • 12:30 Lunch and tour of Memory Lane (confirmed)
  • 2:30 Acadia House (tour, clam shelling demo, fiddlers etc) (confirmed)
  • After we will head to Christina’s for leadership activities, BBQ and camp out (confirmed)

Friday August 19th:

  • Wake up, clean up and breakfast
  • Free Time
  • 4pm: Glow in the dark mini golf and IMAX movie. (Bayer’s lake)
    Confirmed at 7.50 per person…but I need numbers of people attending asap

Saturday August 20th:

  • Free day - We will provide a list of things to do

Sunday August 21st:

  • 3- 5pm Leadership activities at PYC
  • Chowder Supper
  • 7pm: symposium
  • Afterward - dance for students (confirmed)

Monday August 22nd:

  • 10:30 am Lieutenant Governor's residence
  • 1 pm: (approximately) lunch at Peggy’s Cove
  • Hang out and head home

Tuesday August 23rd:

  • 10am: Peace Pavilion (Dartmouth)
  • 11:15 am: ferry
  • Lunch - tentatively lunch is on own BUT BT is trying to provide us with a free lunch from Taste of Nova Scotia. We would picnic at citadel
  • 1: 15 pm: Harbour Hopper? (still waiting to confirm)
  • 3:30 pm: Discovery Centre (confirmed)
  • Free time to shop on Spring Garden
  • 6pm: pizza and rough cut film showing at NFB (confirmed)

Wednesday August 24th:

  • Free day

Thursday August 25

  • Serbian students will be going sailing on the Halifax Harbour (sorry no room for Canadians)
    Dropoff - 5:30 pm 697 Windmill Road, Dartmouth, NS. It is directly across from
    the Office Interiors/Metro Halifax Chamber of Commerce in the old Moosehead brewery building

Friday August 26th:

  • Meet at Nicole’s house at 3pm for afternoon of fun, BBQ and closing activities.
