Peace
From March 11-21,
32
youth and 12
adults traveled
to Serbia to
attend the Youth
to Youth Peace
Conference.
The students
from each country
had an immediate
and emotional
connection and
plans were set
in place for
the Serbian
students to
visit Canada.
From August
16-26, 2005
fourteen youth,
along with chaperone
Rajka Sandic,
will be traveling
to Nova Scotia
and billeting
with several
members of Students
for Teaching
Peace. While
a few will stay
in Halifax,
the majority
of the students
will be staying
on the beautiful
Eastern Shore.
Under the guidance
of teacher Jana
Bayer-Smith
these students
will have a
10-day retreat
that will include
sightseeing,
peacebuilding
activities and
leadership training.
