Start the school year with a toolbox filled with innovative and practical strategies for conflict resolution in your classroom and school.

Day 1, Monday, August 25:

Persuasion Power: Using Strategic Language to Build Relationships and Solve Problems

How many times have we gotten boxed into confrontations where we move one step forward and two steps back with students? Perhaps we achieve temporary compliance, but we lose goodwill and cooperation in the process. The problem goes underground and the relationship suffers. In this session, you will learn and practice proven techniques for gaining cooperation from difficult people by using skills of persuasion.

Day 2, Tuesday, August 26:

Enhancing Healthy Relationships: Skill-based Interactions in the Peaceful School

  • Learn seven tested methods of de-escalating tense situations with pupils and staff.
  • Learn and practice an innovative technique to address emotionally-charged topics.
  • Explore the ethical use of power in gaining cooperation from initially-resistant people.
  • Learn how PSI can support your work in the area of school climate.
